QUIET STORM: RNB
An unforgettable era.
The Quiet Storm, born on WHUR-FM in the late '70s, was the format that carried black soul music into the slow jams of the '80s and '90s and never really let go. If you grew up with it, you made sure to have a blank cassette tape on-hand and ready to record. You heard it a hundred times, on a hundred different nights — and you've probably spent a few frustrated ones on your UDO Super 6 trying to find it, landing somewhere close, but not quite it. We got you.
Late nights were
always for RnB.
To honor this cultural moment, we've created Quiet Storm — a 64 patch, RnB-inspired synth library, built entirely on the Super 6's own front panel, organized the way a producer actually thinks about a track. Warm hold-pads and emotional leads hold down banks A and B. Soulful keys and full basses anchor banks C and D. A variety of plucks offer charm in bank E. Songstarter sequences sit in bank F as the perfect launch pad to build your track around. And Textures/FX and Drums complete the set equipping your Super 6 with everything it needs to be an RnB machine.
Have a seat. Take a listen.
